The Copy Demand Section:

 Copy Modes
  • From destination to destination – you are coping demand values from one unit to exactly the same unit.
MyTimePlan takes the data from the source section, such as the time period you want to duplicate, and displays this period in the unit section. In the destination section, you can then choose the specific time period and mark the units and actions that you want to copy.

For example, if you want to copy the same monthly demand from the Birmingham department, you have to select your desired time period (e.g. 01.03 – 31.03.2013) in the source section, then in the destination section, choose the dates you would like to copy to (e.g. 01.04. – 30.04.2013). Here, mark Unit and the specific actions that you want to copy. The last thing to do is to mark the min and max values, this allows you to copy exactly the same demand values as the previous month. Mark Overwrite if you need.

From Destination To Destination

  • From source to destination – With this feature, you can copy demand values from one department to as many departments as you need. You can only copy the jobs that are relevant to the selected departments.

MyTimePlan takes the data from the source section, such as the time period and the department you want to duplicate, and displays this period in the destination section, you can then choose the specific time period and mark the departments and jobs that you want to copy.

For example, if you want to copy monthly demand for the job such as Reception from Birmingham to other departments which are doing that work. You have to select your desired time period (e.g. 01.03 – 31.03.2013) and the Birmingham department in the source section, then in the destination section, choose the dates you would like to copy ( e.g. 01.04. – 30.04.2013) and mark those departments which are doing the reception work. At the end select reception work from the list. The last thing to do is to mark min and max values, this allows you to copy exactly the same demand values as in previous month. Mark Overwrite if you need.

  • Overwrite – write down the new demand data on top of already stored the demand data. Remember that marked the overwrite feature, will cause the loss of the old demand data.

Note:

For example, when you copy the source time period, such as 01.01 -07.01.2013 into the destination time period 01.03 – 31.03.2013 then you will copy as follow

01.01-07.01.2013 to 01.03 – 07.03. 2013
01.01-07.01.2013 to 08.03 – 14.03. 2013
